摘要: PURPOSE:To detect accurately an entry of water into a tank and to annunciate that by putting on a warning lamp by providing an abnormality warning circuit which generates an abnormality warning signal when the electrostatic capacity of a sensor part increases abnormally. CONSTITUTION:A level gauge is constituted by connecting an electrostatic capacity type sensor part 1 having a couple of electrodes 11 to be put in the tank 17 to a monostable multivibrator 2 and varies the output pulse width of the monostable multivibrator 2 according to the electrostatic capacity of the sensor part 1. Then its output pulse signal is passed through an integration circuit 3 to generates an integral signal and a display corresponding to the integral signal is made on the level meter 4. Further, the abnormality warning circuit 5 is added, and consequently if water mixes with the fuel in the tank 17 and enters the gap between the electrodes 11, the electrostatic capacity between them increases abruptly and the circuit 5 generates an abnormality warning signal to put on the warning lamp 6, thus annunciating the entry of the water into the tank.

摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode for electrostatic capacity type level gauge which is high in dimensional accuracy by utilizing printed wiring techniques, by forming plural rectangular electrode boards on the surface of a flexible insulating substrate with spaces between them and shaping the substrate with the electrode boards in a cylindrical form. CONSTITUTION:Segment electrodes 3a-3h are formed in such a way that a flexible insulating substrate 1 is prepared by forming an oil-resistant polymeric material in a film-like shape having a length longer than the range of liquid depth and plural rectangular conductive patterns are provided on the surface of the substrate 1 with spaces 2a-2g between them by depositing or etching techniques. Moreover, lead wires 4a-4h of a number at least more than the number of the segment electrodes are formed in line from the upper end to the lower end of the back of the substrate 1 by printing techniques. The segments electrodes 3a- 3h are electrically connected with the lead wires 4a-4h by piercing through holes 5a-5h and constituted so that electrostatic values can be transmitted to drawn-out terminals 6a-6h at the top section of the substrate 1.

摘要: PURPOSE:To correct fluctuations of electrostatic capacity characteristics, by dividing a liquid depth measuring electrode rod into plural segment electrodes and finding data on the liquid quantity based on the liquid level-electrostatic capacity characteristic of each segment electrode stored in advance. CONSTITUTION:Segment electrodes 5a-5d are formed on the surface of a segment electrode constituting body 4 with spaces between them in the vertical direction. An insulating substrate 7 with lead wires 6a-6d to be connected with each segment electrode being formed on one surface is wound around an electrically insulating cylindrical core material 8. After winding the insulating substrate 7 an insulating cover 9 is put on the substrate 7 and they are united in one body. A common electrode 10 is fitted to the body 4 so that its oil inlets 12 and flow switches 13a-13c can meet the gaps 11a-11c of the segment electrodes 5a-5d. The flow switches 13a-13c are turned on or off when oil surface rises or drops to levels coincident with the gaps 11a-11c of the segment electrodes 5a-5c, and arrival of the oil surface to a reference level is detected.

摘要: PURPOSE:To detect exactly the ink remaining quantity in an ink containing part by varying the ink quantity existing between electrodes only when the ink decreases to less than a prescribed quantity and measuring the variation of an electrostatic capacity between the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The ink containing bag 3 and the ink existing between both electrodes 7A, 7B are not varied and the electrostatic capacity is constant and not varied until the ink in the bag 3 is consumed by the prescribed quantity. If the ink is consumed by more than the prescribed quantity, the bag 3 reduces and purses gradually and an air layer occurs between both the electrodes 7A, 7B, the electrostatic capacity decreases suddenly.

The paired electrode plates 4, 5 are constituted with the parallel electrode plates 6, 8 and 7, 9 with each baffle plate set as the one-side electrode plate. The shape can be determined in conformity with the shape of the tank 1 and the electrostatic capacity characteristics can be determined arbitrarily. The shaking of the fuel 2 and the measurement error caused from the inclination of the tank 1 can be decreased by using a plurality of paired electrode plates.

摘要: PURPOSE:To exactly display a level of a liquid, by providing plural electrodes in a suport vertically provided in a storage tank, connecting each electrode to a high frequency power source, constituting a level display of a detector, a decoder, an arithmetic device, etc., and connecting the detector to the storage tank. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency power source 13 is operated, and a current value is detected by detectors 14a-14c from the electrostatic capacity between electrodes 12a-12c and a storage tank 10. Since the distance between the bottom wall of the storage tank 10 and the electrodes 12a-12c is known already, a digital signal is outputted to an arithmetic device 19 from a decoder 18, is processed by the device 19, and thereafter, the digital signal is outputted to a level indicator 20 from the device 19, and a level l0 of a liquid is indicated roughly. Even if the conductivity of a fluid in the storage tank is varied, said signal is processed by the arithmetic device in accordance with a current value detected by the detector, the distance between the bottom side of the storage tank and the lower end of the electrode, and the length of the electrode, and is outputted to a level indicator, by which a level of a fluid can be indicated exactly.
