PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a rarity level of content that users want.SOLUTION: Provided is an information processing apparatus including a storage and a controller. The storage is configured to store a rarity level of each of a plurality of pieces of content, and an access history of a user having accessed the plurality of pieces of content. The controller is configured to determine, based on the stored access history, rarity levels of a predetermined number or more of pieces of content, the pieces of content being accessed by the user in a predetermined unit time, to calculate a preference level of the user based on the determined rarity level, and to create information showing the calculated preference level.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially reduce the total bandwidth required to provide individualized channels and associated video clips by aggregating the data for a plurality of individualized programs into a single channel and allocating the channel bandwidth as needed for provision of short video programs on an "on demand" basis. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a real-time, single-user-targeted individualized advertising associated with the viewer selection that personalizes the user's iTV experience. The advertisements are targeted in real-time based on an immediate interest revealed by the user in a search request for content. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watching system for the elderly or the like by using an existing system. SOLUTION: In a television integrated with a personal computer function, an e-mail to which information about on/off or channel switch is automatically attached according to on/off or channel switch is automatically transmitted to a television at a remote place, and the television at the remote place automatically receives and opens the e-mail to display it in its own television. A channel is automatically converted into a channel for a reception-side broadcast area between different broadcast areas. When both sides view the same program, an experience shared feeling is produced by displaying accordingly. One touch switch to a program the other party views is achieved. Abnormality of the reception information is warned when it is there. The reception information is stored and the abnormality can be determined based on a history. An automatic destination of the e-mail can be made a viewing rate research agency.
