Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stacked sheets with page turning parts for effectively and smoothly turning over a page of the stacked sheets obtained by stacking a plurality of sheets such as a book, newspaper or notebook and contributing to conservation of sheet resources. SOLUTION: Lacks such as an arc-like cut-in part 1 and a triangular cut-in part 2 are formed at substantially intermediate part and lower edge of an end edge 8 of stacked sheets such as a book obtained by stacking many sheets 4. The lacks are gradually reduced in the cut-in amounts from the top face side to the bottom face side or from the bottom face side to the top face side. When fingers are brought into contact with the lacks and slightly moved in the page turning direction, the sheets 4 are effectively turned over one by one. And, the sheets can be saved by forming the lacks.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantly open a page to be used right at the moment by perforating all along three outer peripheral sides other than the one side on which respective pages of a pocketbook are filed by the unit of a plurality of groups, one group of which consists of a plurality of pages. SOLUTION: A plurality of groups 3a, 3b, 3c... are formed per desired number of pages in compliance with the purpose or the use of the pages of a pocketbook 3, and as an example, the groups are formed into per unit of month such as January, February and the like for a schedule pocketbook. At least one side of outer peripheral three sides other than the filing section of respective pages of the pocket book 3, for instance perforations 5 (5a, 5b, 5c...) are formed in semi-circular shape all through the edge by shifting the positions of respective groups of an edge 4, and a paper piece 6 is cut off optionally along the perforated sections 5 to form a column 7. Also the perforation 5 can play a roll of a guide before cutting off by printing preliminarily the desired information such as the display of months on the perforated sections.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the indexing of page without preparing separate indexing tab by a method wherein an arbitrary number of incision, which have an arbitrary shape serving as indexing tab are formed at the predetermined intervals in the upper margin of the page of a book or the like to the lateral direction. SOLUTION: In the upper margin of the page of a notebook or the like in the lateral direction, an arbitrary number of incisions 3 of indexing tab 2 are formed at the predetermined intervals. In order to use the incision 3, the indexing tab 2 is bent at its bending part 4. Thus, an indexing tab 2a projected beyond the page is formed. At this time, an indexing tab 2 at a proper position among an arbitrary number of indexing tabs 2 is selected so as not to overlap with the indexing tab 2b formed in the previous page. In order to prevent the indexing tabs 2a and 2b projected beyond the page from being crumpled and torn, a cover having the size large enough to cover the projected indexing tabs 2a and 2b can also be provided.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a technique preferable from a view point of image processing of characters to indicate on parts (edge, top, and bottom parts) of a book to be cut and an indication technique for which the technique is used. CONSTITUTION: The title methods includes the first process 10 taking in characters which are to indicate as digital data, the second process 20 dividing the characters taken in by the first process 10 into a plurality of pieces by making the characters correspond to a thickness direction of a book, and the third process 30 performing averaging processing which converts a form of irregnlar surface into a rectangle in relation to the divided data each. Then the characters which are image-processed like this are laid out on the same block copy as printed data of the text, and indication is performed by performing printing simultaneously with printing of the text.
