Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform a pressure changeover smoothly as well as to aim at improvement in dravability, by constituting supercharging pressure to be controllable when discriminating between a high supercharging pressure area and a low load area, and performing transfer from low supercharging pressure to high supercharging one in allowing it at the time of low load driving or the like. CONSTITUTION:An internal combustion engine is provided with a device 1 for controlling a time delay quantity of ignition timing according to size of knocking and a supercharger 2. In this case, also there is provided with a supercharging pressure controlling device 3 controlling supercharging pressure to be secured by the supercharger 2 to either high or low. On the other hand, there is provided with a timing delay quantity discriminating device 5 which compares the timing delay quantity of the ignition timing by the knocking controller 1 to be measured by a timing delay quantity detecting device 4 with the specified value and discriminates a high supercharging pressure area. In addition, there is provided with a device 7 which compares engine load to be measured by a load detecting device 6 with the specified value and discriminates a low load area. And, when it is discriminated as the high supercharging are, a device 8, controlling a signal to the supercharging pressure controlling device, is installed in an engine low load area.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from misfiring by delaying a lead angle in ignition at the time of knocking and also by increasing fuel in supply whereby lowering boost pressure when an value of increase in fuel becomes a predetermined value or more. CONSTITUTION:In a boost pressure control device of an internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger A, when the occurrence of knocking is judged by a knocking judging means B, a delay-in-angle control device C causes an ignition timing at the time of knocking to be delayed in angle by a specified angle, furthermore a fuel increase control means D increases fuel in supply at the time of knocking for restraining knocking. In this case, when an value of increase in fuel becomes a predetermined value or more, a supercharge control means E controls the supercharger A to lower supercharging pressure for preventing an excessively rich condition. Owing to this constitution, the misfire of an engine is prevented, accordingly the maximum boost pressure can be set up by considering only atmospheric condition and the time when fuel of a designated octane number is used for enhancing the output of the engine.
