    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product which has a high heat resistance, is relatively easily manufactured and uses a solid electrolyte that can be safely handled, by using conductive alumina hydrate as the solid electrolyte. SOLUTION: Aluminum alcoholate, aluminum chelate compound or cyclic aluminum oligomer is used and is hydrolized to form boehmite alumina. When a small quantity of an organic acid such as acetic acid is added to the dispersed liquid of the obtained boehmite alumina and heated, boehmite alumina sol is formed. The boehmite alumina sol is transparent and has approximately 2-20 nm fine particles dispersed therein. The boehmite alumina sol is applied on an aluminum foil and a separator which constitute a capacitor element, and is heated and dried or semi-dried to obtain a solid or semi-dried gel.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a heat decomposition process and decomposition gas treatment and obtain a prescribed film pressure by one coating step, by using manganese dioxide powder, dispersed resin and an organic solvent as essential components. SOLUTION: Manganese dioxide powder, dispersed resin and an organic solvent are used as essential components. As the manganese dioxide powder, for example, powders having α, β and γcrystal structures may be used, preferably the manganese dioxide powder having the β crystal structure, considering conductivity. Though the dispersed resin is not specially limited, as far as it improves the dispersion of manganese dioxide powder, soluble to organic solvent and easily binds with manganese dioxide powder after drying the paste, a thermoplastic resin is preferable. The organic solvent is not specially limited, as far as it solves the dispersed resin and maintains dispersion stability of the manganese dioxide powder. Solvents such as alicyclic ketonic compound are preferable.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soled electrolytic capacitor which permits improvement in the withstand voltage of the entire capacitor by utilizing a reverse withstand voltage of a cathode foil in the solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: A capacitor element 10 is formed by winding an anode foil 1, made of an electrode member formed at a predetermined formation voltage and a cathode foil 2, made of a formed electrode member with a separator 3 provided between the anode foil 1 and the cathode foil 2. This capacitor element 10 is impregnated with a solid electrolyte. The withstand voltage characteristic of the entire capacitor is improved, since it is the sum of a forward withstand voltage of the anode foil 1 and a reverse withstand voltage of the cathode foil 2.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which has a semiconductor layer of manganese dioxide and can improve a coverage of the manganese dioxide layer to prevent change of its electrostatic capacitance value with time due to water, while avoiding an increase in a leakage current caused by the pyrolysis of manganese nitrate. SOLUTION: Used as a mother liquor for use in formation of a manganese dioxide layer is a previously-prepared solution having a manganese dioxide aqueous solution added with such polysaccharide as mannitol or sorbitol. Oxidizing reactive heat of polysaccaride causes promotion of pyrolysis reaction of manganese nitrate, so that, even when a burning temperature in the manganese dioxide layer formation step is not so high, its reaction time can be shortened and its coverage can be improved. Since it is unnecessary to increase the burning time, there is no increase in a leakage current caused by thermal deterioration of the anode oxide film.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in the impedance of a tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor from being generated even if a thermal stress is inflicted on the capacitor when the capacitor is soldered to a wiring board by a method wherein a first manganese dioxide layer is formed on the surface of a porous pellet and after a second manganese dioxide layer is formed on the surface of the first manganese dioxide layer, a third manganese dioxide layer is further formed in order on the surface of the second manganese dioxide layer. SOLUTION: The interior of tantalum metal fine powder with an anode lead-out wire 1 buried therein is subjected to press compaction molding, the fine powder is sintered to form into a porous pellet 2 and an oxide film is formed on the surface of this pellet 2. After that, a first manganese dioxide layer 3 is formed on the surface of the pellet 2 and after the pellet 2 is dipped in a solution dispersed with manganese dioxide fine particles, it is dried and a second manganese dioxide layer 4 is formed on the surface of this layer 3. Moreover, a third manganese dioxide layer 5 is formed in order on the surface of the layer 4. Thereby, even if a thermal stress is inflicted on a tantalum solid electrolytic capacitor when the capacitor is soldered to a wiring board, an increase in the impedance of the capacitor can be prevented from being generated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor where a manganese dioxide layer is used as a negative counter electrode, wherein a manganese dioxide layer is lessened in manufacturing man-hours, the capacitor is enhanced in withstand voltage and lessened in leakage current, and failures such as short circuits are lessened in frequency of occurrence. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode previously coated with an oxide film is dipped into a manganese nitrate solution, a manganese nitrate solution film attached to the positive electrode is thermally decomposed into a manganese dioxide layer, whereby a first manganese dioxide layer is formed on a dielectric oxide film (step 5). Then, the positive electrode is dipped into a manganese nitrate solution where manganese dioxide particles whose average grain diameter is smaller than the diameter of voids in the porous anode are contained, a solution film attached to the positive electrode is thermally decomposed into a second manganese dioxide layer (step 6). Furthermore, the positive electrode is dipped into a manganese nitrate solution where manganese dioxide particles whose average grain diameter is larger than the diameter of voids in the porous positive electrode are contained, and a solution film attached to the positive electrode is thermally decomposed into a third manganese dioxide layer (step 7).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor of a large capacity and good high frequency characteristic by realizing hybrid solid-state electrolyte of a mixture layer of mangane dioxide and yttrium oxide-ruthenium oxide layer. CONSTITUTION: Water solution which is formed by mixing yttrium nitrate with manganese nitrate is impregnated onto an anode oxide film 2 of a valve metal and is thermally decomposed. Thereby, an inside of even a smaller fine hole can be covered with a mixture layer 3 of mixture electrolyte of manganese, dioxide and yttrium oxide. Furthermore, since hybrid structure is realized as electrolyte for connecting a ruthenium oxide layer 4 to an external extraction electrode 5 for sharing roles and each characteristic is effectively used, a solid- state electrolytic capacitor of good capacitor characteristic, especially a large capacity and high frequency characteristic and good leak current characteristic can be attained.
