Abstract: The apparatus has a mode area map setting section inhibiting a mode transfer to steady-state mode of continuously variable transmission gear ratio and fixed transmission modes. The inhibition takes place when a vehicle driving point is found based on a sensed value of a vehicle speed by a speed sensor (28) and a calculation value of a target driving force is present within an overlap area on a steady-state mode area map. An independent claim is also included for a mode transfer control method.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out troubles of an EGR unit with high accuracy. SOLUTION: When respective conditions (S51-S57) containing the control condition provided by an EGR are satisfied, NOx concentration is estimated based on a secondary corrected air fuel quantity PHOS, so that the EGR is cut (S58-S65) when the estimated value is greater than a prescribed value given to the present operation area. Similarly the NOx concentration at the time when the EGR is cut from the POHS is estimated (S62-S65), so that under the supposition of the same operation area, the deviation of the estimation valve of the NOx concentration during the use of the EGR from the value during the cutting of the EGR is calculated, and if the deviation is small compared with critical value corresponding to the operation area, EGR is recognized to be in trouble (S67→S69).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain limitation of engine torque from becoming excessive in a series mode of applying the whole engine shaft output to a generator. SOLUTION: This control device has an engine 1, and the generator 2 connected to the engine 1, and regenerating output of the engine 1. An integral control unit 10 is provided with a means for calculating target engine torque on the basis of target power generation quantity of the generator 2, a target engine torque learning correcting means for correcting learning of the target engine torque with every operation area of the engine 1, a means for controlling engine torque on the basis of the target engine torque corrected by the target engine torque learning correcting means, and a means for calculating a target engine torque limiter for limiting the target engine torque.
