Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a hair dye having very good color fast properties within a region of red color by including an aminopyrrole derivative as a coupling constituent. CONSTITUTION: This hair dye includes a compound of the formula X is H, methyl or ethyl; Y positions at 4- or 5-site and is H, NH2 , OH, methyl or a 1-3C alkoxy; Z positions at 2- or 3-site and is (Cn H2n )-NH-R [(n) is 1-3; R is N-methylpyrrole, N-ethylpyrrole, pyrrole, pyridine, piperidine, pyrimidine or morpholine]}, e.g. 2-(5'-amino-2'-methoxy-6'-ethyleneaminopyridine)-1H-pyrrole in the oxidative hair dye based on a base agent comprising a developing component, a coupling component and an oxidizing component.
