PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system that contributes to an appropriate management of commercial power supply by controlling the charging to a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A charging system comprises a charging station and self-traveling equipment in which a secondary battery is built in, the secondary battery that is charged by the charging station. The charging station comprises a power supply circuit that produces electric power for charging from a power source and a power transmission part that transmits electric power for charging to the self-traveling equipment. The self-traveling equipment comprises a power incoming part that receives electric power for charging transmitted from the power transmission part. The charging station or the self-travelling equipment comprises a charge time zone storage part that stores a charge time zone for charging the secondary battery and a charge control part that controls the charging of the secondary battery. The charge control part determines whether the charging of the secondary battery is possible or not in accordance with residual capacity of the secondary battery, and whether the current time is within the charging time zone or not.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled electronic device that quickly and specifically notifies a user that the device is exposed to a dangerous temperature environment if the situation occurs during self-propelling operation.SOLUTION: A self-propelled vacuum cleaner 1 includes: a temperature measuring unit 63 that measures the surrounding temperature during self-propelling operation; a temperature determination unit 521 that determines whether or not the measured temperature exceeds a set value; and an abnormal-temperature notification unit 522 that notifies abnormal temperature information, indicating that the measured temperature exceeds the set value, to the outside if it is determined that the measured temperature exceeds the set value.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify various types of information acquired by own machine to the outside after replacing the expression of the information with the expression in which the information is summarized to such an extent that the summary of the information can be grasped at a glance.SOLUTION: A self-propelled cleaner 1 includes: an emotion selection unit 201 that determines summarized information in which information acquired by the self-propelled cleaner is summarized; and a transmission processing unit 301 that transmits the determined summarized-information to an external device. The emotion selection unit 201 determines the summarized information by selecting it from a plurality of options according to the acquired information.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled vacuum cleaner for efficiently and excellently performing cleaning by selectively re-cleaning a place with much dust.SOLUTION: A self-propelled vacuum cleaner includes: a travel unit for travelling in an area to be cleaned; a cleaning unit for sucking dust in the area and performing cleaning; a dust level detection unit for detecting the level of an amount of dust as a dust level; and a control unit for operating the travel unit and the cleaning unit, allowing the dust level detection unit to detect a dust level, and controlling the travel unit in accordance with the dust level. When the cleaner travels in a place where a dust level exceeds a predetermined first threshold, the control unit inverts a travel direction in order to return to the place, and then performs control to re-clean the place by reciprocation between the position where the travel direction has been inverted and the place.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus which is capable of appropriately asking a user to repeat when performing speech recognition of user's voice.SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus includes voice input means for converting input voice to speech data, speech recognition means for analyzing the speech data to specify a word or a sentence included in the speech data and to calculate a degree of certainty of the specified word or sentence, reaction determination means for determining whether it is necessary to ask a user to repeat or not on the basis of the degree of certainty, and asking means for asking the user to repeat. The reaction determination means determines that the electronic apparatus should ask the user to repeat in the case of the degree of certainty being equal to or higher than a second threshold and lower than a first threshold, and determines that the electronic apparatus should not ask the user to repeat in the case of the degree of certainty being lower than the second threshold.
