    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily carry out smoothening work under favorable environment so as to improve workability and accuracy by constituting the device out of a copying part grasping a rail and copying the contour of the rail, and cutting parts having prescribed number of super hard tips on the extreme end. CONSTITUTION:Sensors 16 detecting the tilt of a rail 2 and adjusting balance of right and left of the rail 2 are provided on copying parts 7 grasping the rail 2 and copying the contour of the rail 2. Next the rail 2 is grasped with the copying parts 7, the rail 2 is moved by a roller, and the rail 2 is stopped to move when a padding part remaining on the joint face between the rails by a laser marker is positioned on the lower parts of head cutting parts 3, 3. Next, the copying parts 7 are tilted by the padding part of the joint face of the rails 2, and the head part 6 and the head side parts 11, 11 of the rail 2 are cut until the tilt of the copying parts 7. Hereby, polished powder is not dispersed so as to improve working environment, by cutting off the padding part with super hard tips, and hence morkability and accuracy of smoothening can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reprofile a track completely by supporting a milling unit with a supporting body being perpendicularly movable with respect to a frame joined to the lower frame of a carriage. CONSTITUTION: A long frame 8 and short frame 9 are vertically movably joined to the lower side frame 2 of a carriage 3 by means of jacks 4, 5, 6. Then, a support body 22 having a milling cutter 24 is connected to the frame 8 via a screw 23, and first and second support and guide units 10, 11 are joined thereto. Also, a support body 22' possessing a milling cutter 24' is connected to the frame 9, and a third support and guide unit 12 are joined thereto. After the track is heated by a heating unit 31 and ground by milling cutters 24, 24', it is cooled by a cooling unit.
