    Abstract: A method and device are provided which allow easy and reliable prediction of abnormality of a solenoid valve 1 before failure by detecting operating times of the solenoid valve 1 and discriminating, from the operating times, whether the changeover operation thereof is normal or abnormal. To achieve this, the position of a spool 6 at a stroke end is detected by position detecting means 11 connected to the solenoid valve 1. The movement starting time from the time point when the driving signal for the solenoid valve 1 is turned on or turned off to the time point when the valve member begins to move from the stroke end, and the movement completion time therefrom to the time point when the spool 6 arrives at the stroke end, are measured in a signal processing circuit 12 from the detected position signal and a clock signal. The signal processing circuit 12 discriminates whether the changeover operation of the valve member is normal or abnormal by comparing these operating times with a plurality of standard values previously inputted in the signal processing circuit 12. A display signal is output in response to the discrimination result.

The fluid pressure controller comprises a pressure control part 42 for controlling the output pressure according to an electric signal of an externally set pressure, and a booster part 43 which increases the flow of pressure fluid from the pressure control part to output it, with the control part and the booster part being integrated together. An output of a pressure sensor 74 detecting the pressure of the fluid outputted from the booster part is fed back to a signal control part 45 controlling the pressure control part, and a function is provided for outputting a signal indicative of the completion of the pressure setting for monitoring when the output of the pressure sensor is equal to the set pressure.
