摘要: A cold ignition improving method of a diesel engine is provided to decrease manufacturing cost and to prevent engine disorder and white lead generation caused by the fuel amount abrupt. A cold ignition improving method of a diesel engine comprises a step which applies the trim value according to the engine cooling water temperature; a step(S2) which measures the engine run mode entering elapsed time; a step(S3) which increases and decreases the fuel amount as long as desiring so that the compensated fuel amount drastically does not change; a step(S3-1) where the determined maximal time is set up; and a step(S4) which totals the start compensated fuel amount in the preexistence basis trim and scale value.

摘要: PURPOSE: A method for controlling the fuel rate of a fuel injection pump for a diesel engine is provided to prevent a rapid change in the fuel rate according to a change in a coolant temperature, thereby stabilizing an engine. CONSTITUTION: An engine RPM, a boost voltage, and a coolant temperature are detected(110). A fuel quantity control voltage(Qsol1) according to the engine RPM, and the boost voltage in a normal temperature map is set, and another fuel quantity control voltage(Qsol2) according to the engine RPM, and the boost voltage in a low temperature map is set(120). It is judged whether the coolant temperature is higher than a reference temperature(130). If so, the fuel quantity control voltage in the normal temperature map is set as a fuel quantity control voltage(Qsol)(140). The fuel quantity is controlled(150). If not, it is judged whether the coolant temperature is lower than a judgement temperature(210). If so, the fuel quantity control voltage in the lower temperature map is set as a fuel quantity control voltage(220). If not, the fuel quantity control voltage is calculated by the following expression; Qsol=((65536-K)xQsol1+ KxQsol2)/65536(310).

摘要: PURPOSE: A cold start control system is provided to achieve improved starting ability of engine by detecting the cold start state and heating the fuel being supplied to the common rail during the cold start. CONSTITUTION: A cold start control system comprises a heating bar(12) serving as an output unit, and which is accommodated in a common rail(7) of a diesel engine; a coolant temperature sensor(4) for sensing the temperature of the coolant and a key switch(14) for sensing the start state, wherein the coolant temperature sensor and the key switch serve as an input unit; and a control unit(10) including a cold zone, and which duty-controls supply of power to the heating bar in accordance with the signal input from the coolant temperature sensor. The control unit includes a power supply controller(20) constituted by a power transistor or a rheostat for controlling power supply to the heating bar.

An ECU receives signals from the sensing portion, and compares the signals with data inputted previously. A relay(10) receives control signal from the ECU for on/off operation. An intercooler fan motor(12) is operated by a battery power in on operation of the relay.

摘要: PURPOSE: A fuel injection timing control method for a diesel engine is provided to keep fuel injection timing by compensating the difference of a fuel temperature and a predetermined temperature in a diesel engine including an EUI(Electronic Unit Injector). CONSTITUTION: For controlling fuel injection timing of a diesel engine, required fuel injection amount and fuel injection timing are calculated depending on a vehicle speed, a cam angle, a throttle valve opened degree, cooling water temperature, intake air temperature and intake air pressure sensed via a traveling state sensing unit(S10). The temperature of fuel is detected by a fuel temperature sensor on a fuel line supplied to an EUI, and an electrical signal is applied to an ECU(Electrical control unit)(S20). The ECU decides if the fuel temperature is included within a range of maximum, minimum and standard temperatures or not(S30). If the fuel temperature is included within the range, the ECU outputs fuel injection timing control signals depending on fuel injection timing mapping data of respective modes is outputted to the EUI(S40). If the fuel temperature is not included within the range, compensatory fuel injection timing control signals are outputted to the EUI(S50). And, fuel injection timing of the EUI is kept uniform and explosion force of an engine is maintained properly in winter. Therefore, the life of the engine is lengthened. Moreover, fuel efficiency is improved in summer.

CONSTITUTION: A fuel ratio improving method for a diesel engine includes the steps of map-setting maximum fuel amounts per gear ratio, an engine speed with respect to a minimum fuel amount, and an engine speed range value with respect to an engine injection amount(30), determining whether a clutch switch is "ON', a neutral switch is "ON" and a vehicle speed sensor is normal according to the map-set values(31), determining whether a cooling water temperature is higher than an operation temperature of a differential gear(32), changing constant values with constant values for fuel amount, engine speed, and loadless maximum rotation number computed with a slew coefficient by setting a map with the gear ratio according to the cooling water temperature(33,34), and computing constant values for existing loadless maximum rotation number if the clutch switch is "OFF", the neutral switch or the vehicle speed sensor is abnormal, or the cooling water temperature is low(35).
