CONSTITUTION: An EGR device for an engine comprises a low pressure EGR line(1), a filter case(5), a differential pressure sensor(9), and a controller(11). The low pressure EGR line connects the front side of the compressor of a turbo charger and the rear side of a DPF. The filter case forms a part of the low pressure EGR line. A part of the filter case forms the low pressure EGR line. The other part and both ends of the filter case are connected to a flange(3). The differential pressure sensor measures the pressure difference of both sides of an emergency filter(7) inside the filter case. The torsion member is combined with a coupling(53) and a sealing holder(57), and has a torsion spring(71) with a spiral shape mounted on a second rotary shaft(55). The second rotary shaft is combined through a bush with a valve housing.
