    摘要: There is a need for decreasing a variation in times for writing to TFT elements for pixels in a direction along the extension of a gate line in a liquid crystal display apparatus. A display apparatus includes a display panel having multiple gate lines and drain lines arranged in a matrix and a data driver for outputting a display data signal to each drain line. The data driver includes: an internal control signal generation circuit generating an internal control signal for setting a timing to output a data signal to a drain line of each block on a block basis by dividing the plurality of drain lines into multiple blocks; and a register circuit for recording a setting for division of the block, a setting for delay direction and width of a timing to output the data signal, and a setting for rising and falling of an internal control signal.

    摘要: A display device includes a display panel, and a semiconductor chip having plural bump electrodes and mounted on a substrate constituting the display panel. The plural bump electrodes include a first bump electrode arranged in the vicinity of a center for a longitudinal direction of the semiconductor chip, and a second bump electrode arranged in the vicinity of an end portion in the longitudinal direction of the semiconductor chip. The semiconductor chip has one or more than one conductive layer inside. Assuming that a surface of the semiconductor chip having the bump electrodes formed thereon is a lower side, the number of the conductive layers formed on the second bump electrode is greater than the number of the conductive layers formed on the first bump electrode. The conductive layer formed on the first and the second bump electrode includes a dummy conductive layer. Further, the plural bump electrodes are electrically connected to a wiring layer formed on a substrate constituting the display panel through an anisotropic conductive film.

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel having a first substrate and a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the substrates. The first substrate includes a common electrode on a surface thereof which faces the second substrate in an opposed manner. The second substrate includes reflective electrodes, a first conductive film arranged to surround a periphery of the reflective electrodes, and a second conductive film arranged to surround a periphery of the first conductive film, a common voltage applied to the common electrode is applied to the first conductive film, and a reference voltage (GND) is applied to the second conductive film.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device has a circuit for selecting voltage levels based upon display data from an externally-supplied gray-scale voltage varying periodically. The circuit includes a plurality of series combinations of processing circuits. Each of the series combinations is associated with one of video signal lines coupled to pixels, and each of the processing circuits of a respective one of the plural series combinations is associated with a respective one of N display data lines for supplying the display data and with a respective one of plural time control signal lines for supplying time control signals varying in synchronism with the gray-scale voltage. Each of the processing circuits is disposed between two adjacent ones of the N display data lines. The time control signals uniquely determine one level of the gray-scale voltage in combination with the time control signals.
