The present invention is a color filter substrate including: a light-shielding layer and a colored layer made of material such as a photosensitive material, on a substrate, wherein the colored layer is arranged from a light transmission region not having the light-shielding layer arranged therein to a light-shielding region having the light-shielding layer arranged therein, and has a smaller thickness in the light-shielding region than in the light transmission region.
