    摘要: Disclosed is an installation (1) for sterilizing objects (8) by means of a radiation source (50). The installation (1) comprises an irradiation zone (5) in which the radiation source (50) is arranged. An entry zone (3), which is preceded by a feed zone (2), is mounted in front of the irradiation zone (5) while an exit zone (4), which is followed by a subsequent processing zone (9), is mounted behind the irradiation zone (5). A transportation line (6) that is used for conveying the objects (8) extends through the installation (1). One respective shield (7) is associated with the entry zone (3) and the exit zone (4). The entry zone (3) encompasses a first inlet opening (31) that has a passage to the feed zone (2) as well as a second inlet opening (32) which has a passage to the irradiation zone (5). The exit zone (4) has a first outlet (41) that has a passage to the irradiation zone (5) as well as a second outlet opening (42) which has a passage to the subsequent processing zone (9). The transportation line (6) extends in alignment through all inlet openings and outlet openings (31,32;41,42). The shields (7) are movable. In each position of the shields (7) in which the objects (8) that are conveyed through the installation (1) can penetrate one of the two inlet openings (31,32) or one of the two outlet openings (41,42), the other inlet opening (32,31) and the other outlet opening (42,41) are covered by the associated shield (7).

    摘要: The present invention permits deferring the final provisioning of the Card Information Structure (CIS) in the attribute memory space of expansion cards (or modules) for portable hosts. This enables expansion cards to be distributed, sold, and installed by their end-users prior to the final provisioning, which is performed during their initial use. A temporary default CIS image is provided that permits baseline functionality of the expansion card with a host device. Providing the default CIS data enables provisional installation and operation of the card in the host, including accessing the card by way of default card services and socket software layers, as provided in the standard software environment of the host. The provisional operation enables higher level software to program the final CIS values in the peripheral controller internal CIS data-structure, EEPROM on the card, or any combination of the two.

    摘要: High-speed reliable parallel data transmission between a computer and a parallel peripheral is provided by a peripheral controller by way of a virtual parallel UART (VPU). The VPU provides a novel parallel interface for higher speed parallel interface operation. The VPU is included in the peripheral controller along with a conventional RS-232 UART. The peripheral-side interface of the peripheral controller provides full bidirectional handshaking with the parallel peripheral. The host-side interface of the peripheral controller provides a legacy serial port compatible interface. Mode information selectively configures operation in either a VPU (parallel) or a UART (serial) mode. Both modes appear identical to software executing on the computer, enabling the use of standard serial I/O drivers without modification, and providing transparent legacy mode compatibility even when the hardware is configured for VPU mode.

    摘要: A portable, fold-up bath bench for common alcove bathtubs has a stepped-down booster seat attached in front of the bench to assist people as they lower and raise themselves within the tub. The bench is pivotally attached to the rear rim of the tub; resting on the side walls of the tub in the down position, or standing up against the abutting wall in the raised position. The booster seat provides an intermediate seat midway between the bench and the tub floor, thereby making it easier to lower and lift yourself in the tub. When you are seated on the floor of the tub, the booster seat folds back against the rear wall of the tub, allowing you to stretch out, with full use of the tub. This device is a simple, self-assist mechanism which operates without any ancillary-power source. The bench design can be modified for use in free-standing bathtubs

The system includes an assembly for filtering air which is mounted in advance of the engine, and a duct for delivering air from the assembly to the engine.     摘要: A method of forming a circuit includes forming a metallic circuit pattern on a base substrate. The circuit pattern has traces which are connected together by temporary bussing. A resist pattern for defining at least one terminal pad is formed over the circuit pattern. A layer of metal is formed on at least one area of the circuit pattern exposed by the resist pattern to a thickness suitable for serving as the at least one terminal pad for the circuit. A portion of the base substrate at the location of the temporary bussing is removed thereby causing the removal of the temporary bussing.
