摘要: An input section receives an image signal including signals related to colors to output at least a luminance signal component of the image signal. A compressing section compresses the dynamic range of the luminance signal component from the input section. A setting section obtains a compression coefficient from a relationship between the luminance signal component whose dynamic range is compressed by the compressing section and the luminance signal component from the input section. An operating section executes an operation for compressing dynamic ranges of the signals related to colors included in the image signal in accordance with the compression coefficient obtained by the setting section. A correcting section substantially corrects the color saturation of the signals related to a color included in the image signal while preserving the luminance of the image signal such that the color saturation is more intensively suppressed as the luminance becomes lower.

摘要: A photosensitive resin composition for flexographic printing comprising dispersed particles of (1) a core phase mainly composed of a non-crosslinkable hydrophobic polymer (A) having a glass transition temperature at 5° C. or lower, and (2) a shell phase covering the core phase which is mainly composed of a hydrophilic polymer; and (3) a matrix phase mainly composed of a mixture of a hydrophobic polymer (B) which is immiscible with the hydrophobic polymer (A) and a non gaseous ethylenic unsaturated compound. The difference between refractive index of said hydrophobic polymer (A) of the core phase (1) and that of the mixture of said hydrophobic polymer (B) and said ethylenic unsaturated compound of the matrix phase (3) is 0.010 or less, thereby decreasing light scattering in the resin. The photosensitive resin composition can be developed with an aqueous developer and has wide light exposure latitude, improved printing reproducibility and improved aqueous ink resistance.

摘要: A digital video signal that has been encoded using motion-compensated prediction, transform encoding, and variable-length coding, is decoded using parallel processing. Frames of the video signal are divided into slices made up of a sequence of macroblocks. The signal to be decoded is slice-wise divided for parallel variable-length decoding. Each variable-length-decoded macroblock is divided into its constituent blocks for parallel inverse transform processing. Resulting blocks of difference data are added in parallel to corresponding blocks of reference data. The blocks of reference data corresponding to each macroblock are read out in parallel from reference data memories on the basis of a motion vector associated with the macroblock. Reference data corresponding to each macroblock is distributed for storage among a number of reference data memories.

摘要: A color classification system and method for classifying, judging and/or identifying objects by color. An optical system utilizes light from an object to form an image on an imaging device. A plurality of optical band-pass filters each having a different pass band are provided between the object and the imaging device. The optical band-pass filters include a plurality of measurement filters for use in measuring a color of the object and a test filter for use in judging which one of the measurement filters should be applied to the object. A changeover section changes between the optical band-pass filters. A computing circuit performs at least one of a color classification and a color judgment based on a spectral characteristic of the imaged object through a statistical approach, and a control section causes the changeover section to select an effective one of the measurement filters based on a judgment by the computing circuit of a result sensed by the test filter. The plurality of optical band-pass filters are arranged in a plurality of filter sets each of which has at least one filter, and the changeover section includes a filter changeover mechanism for changing between the optical band-pass filters in one of the filter sets, and a filter-set changeover mechanism for changing between the plurality of filter sets.
