Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an electrical insulating material and a method for preparing an electrical insulating element. The electrical insulating material contains matrix component, filler component and liquid hydrophobic component; wherein the matrix component comprises saturated styrenic block copolymer. The electrical insulating material based on saturated styrenic block copolymer has good UV resistivity, tracking and erosion resistance, thermal stability, and lower dielectric constant and dielectric loss. It is also easy and cheap for producing.
