Abstract: Disclosed herein is a hybrid inorganic-organic light emitting device that can include a cathode; an anode; at least one organic layer disposed between the cathode and the anode, wherein the at least one organic layer comprises an emissive material; at least one additional layer selected from the group consisting of an electron injection layer, an electron transport layer, and a hole blocking layer; wherein the at least one additional layer is disposed between the cathode and the at least one organic layer; and wherein the at least one additional layer comprises at least one metal oxide. Also disclosed are consumer products comprising this hybrid inorganic-organic light emitting device.
