Abstract: A sole includes an upper surface defining a support surface that supports a bottom of a foot of a wearer, a lower surface defining a ground contact surface, and a peripheral surface connecting the upper surface and the lower surface. The upper surface includes an MP joint support region that supports the bottom of the foot at a position corresponding to an MP joint of the foot of the wearer, and the peripheral surface includes a pair of side surfaces including a medial foot side surface located on a medial foot side and a lateral foot side surface located on a lateral foot side. Among the pair of side surfaces, a portion adjacent to the MP joint support region of at least one side surface is provided with an indicator visually indicating that the portion is different from the other portion of the one side surface.

Abstract: A shoe sole includes a sole body portion and a plate portion. The sole body portion is located to continuously extend from a front foot portion to a rear foot portion. The plate portion is located to continuously extend from the front foot portion to the rear foot portion, joined to the sole body portion, and formed of a material higher in rigidity than a material forming the sole body portion. The plate portion includes an exposed region and an accommodated region. The exposed region forms a ground contact surface of the shoe sole at least in the front foot portion. The accommodated region is accommodated inside the sole body portion at least in the rear foot portion. In at least a part of the middle foot portion and at least a part of the rear foot portion, the plate portion is inclined upward as it extends rearward.

Abstract: A sole includes a midsole, a bottom plate, a top plate, and at least one pin retaining member. The bottom plate includes a plate body having a reference surface and at least one base portion. The bottom plate includes a thenar region corresponding to an area located between a first portion and a second portion to support a big toe of a foot. The first portion corresponds to 20% of a total length of the sole from an MP overlapping portion toward a front side, and the second portion corresponds to 20% of the total length of the sole from the MP overlapping portion toward a rear side. The at least one base portion includes a thenar base portion disposed in the thenar region. A lower surface of the thenar base portion is formed to be flush with the reference surface or recessed above the reference surface.

Abstract: A plate includes: a curved portion located in a forefoot region and shaped to curve toward a flat plane; a midfoot supporting portion located in a midfoot region; and a rear-foot supporting portion located in a rear foot region. The curved portion has a wide region including a wide portion of which dimension in a width direction is largest in the curved portion. The midfoot supporting portion has a narrow region including a narrow portion of which dimension in the width direction is smallest in the midfoot supporting portion. A ratio of a bending rigidity of the narrow region to a bending rigidity of the wide region is 0.4 or more and 0.85 or less.
