Abstract: The present invention relates to a belt strap (1) for a safety belt device of a motor vehicle, comprising at least one cavity (5) for receiving electronic components and/or lines (13), wherein the cavity (5) is formed by two fabric layers (6,7) which are connected to one another in the outer edge sections (3,4) by means of one or more weave thread/weave threads (12) running parallel to the longitudinal direction of the belt strap.
