    摘要: Disclosed is a tape loading device of a video tape recorder provided with an inclined video head cylinder and a capstan. The tape loading device includes a first guide member for feeding a tape on a horizontal path to the inclined video head cylinder, a second guide member for taking out the tape from the video head cylinder, and a third guide member for guiding the tape having passed the second guide member. The first, second and third guide members move along the video head cylinder and are in contact with the internal surface of the tape during the tape loading operation. The tape loading device further includes a fourth guide member for restoring the tape from an inclined path to a horizontal path during the tape loading operation by contacting the external surface of the tape, and an auxiliary inclined member for moving the tape inwardly during the tape loading operation so that the tape may be restored from an inclined path to a horizontal path. The auxiliary inclined member functions to make large the tape winding angle with respect to the third guide member. After the tape loading operation, a tape path is completed along the first guide member, the video head cylinder, the second, third and fourth members, and the capstan.

    摘要: A video recording and playback device with a built-in video camera includes an outer case having the same profile as that of a tape cassette that can be inserted into an exiting stationary video tape recorder. The outer case houses a pair of rotatable reels, a magnetic tape wound around the reels, a magnetic head drum for recording signals on the magnetic tape, magnetic tape guide posts for guiding the magnetic tape to run on and around the magnetic head drum a magnetic tape transport unit for transporting the magnetic tape from one of the reels to the other reel, an imaging unit for producing a video signal representative of an image of an object, a signal recording circuit for processing the video signal from the imaging unit and enabling the magnetic head drum to record the video signal on the magnetic tape, and a power receiving terminal assembly for receiving electric power to energize the motor of the magnetic head drum, the magnetic tape transport unit, the imaging unit, and the signal recording circuit. A recording medium such as a magnetic sheet disk or an optical disk may be employed instead of the magnetic tape.

    摘要: A character reading apparatus optically reads a recording medium and stores an image information as multi-value image in the multi-value image memory (3). The image information stored in the multi-value image memory (3) is scanned in the horizontal direction (character line direction). The maximum value for the pixel data of each line is detected by maximum density value extraction unit (4). When all the scanning in the horizontal direction has been completed, maximum value data (A1) is obtained. Differential data (A2) is obtained by differentially processing this maximum value data (A1), and a domain is obtained as the height of the character line. When the height of the character line have been obtained, the image information of the multi-value image memory (3) is scanned in the vertical direction. As in the horizontal direction, the maximum values for each scan in the vertical direction are extracted by maximum density value extraction unit(4). When all the scanning in the vertical direction has been completed, maximum value data (B1) is obtained. Differential data (B2) is obtained by differentially processing maximum value data (B1). The position of each character is obtained from differential data (B2). Then, character identification is executed by sending the portion of the multi-value image information within the domains of the character line and character positions to the character identification unit (6).
