Abstract: Describe herein are electronic devices that includes an enclosure having a flexible portion extending partially over the coverglass. In some instances, the flexible portion is configured to deform during assembly to allow the coverglass to be placed within the enclosure and to return to an original position once the assembly is complete. In other instances, the flexible portion may be configured to act as a bezel and to conceal any gap between an edge of the coverglass and a side wall of the enclosure from view.

Abstract: A modular computing system includes an electronic device and a case. The electronic device has a cavity formed by a thin portion and a thick portion. The case has an auxiliary portion that fits within the cavity of the electronic device when the electronic device is docked with the case. The electronic device has a device battery and the auxiliary portion of the case has a case battery that electronically couples with the electronic device when the electronic device is coupled to the case. The electronic device has a display assembly coupled to a cover glass, and the cover glass has two apertures providing two respective buttons within the apertures.

Abstract: An electronic device includes an elongated tubular housing. One or more electronic components are coupled to a chassis disposed in a cavity of the tubular housing. A pair of elongated channels are positioned on opposite sides of the chassis and between the chassis and a sidewall of the tubular housing. The channels are tapered or wedge-shaped along their lengths. During assembly, one of the channels may be slid longitudinally along the other, causing the channels to expand laterally, due to their wedge shape, to secure the chassis in the tubular housing. The chassis and the pair of channels provide a thermally conductive path to dissipate heat. During use, heat generated by the electronic components is transmitted radially outward from the electronic components, through the chassis and the pair of channels, and through the tubular housing to the exterior of the portable electronic device.
