Abstract: An exponentially tapered slot antenna assembly includes a plurality of antenna panels arranged together in a general box-like configuration. At each corner of the box-like configuration, a capacitive load panel is in operative electrical communication with orthogonal pairs of antenna panels. Each antenna panel defines an inner and outer surface and has an electromagnetic interference shielding material positioned thereon. The shielding material positioned may be positioned near a first or upper edge of each antenna panel of the assembly. It has been empirically determined that this configuration enables an operational bandwidth that is greater than 5:1 and a voltage standing wave ratio that is less than 3:1 over the 5:1 bandwidth.

Abstract: The system and method for a low profile high gain dual polarization UHF/VHF antenna. In some cases a spiral antenna over a small cavity, with arms attached on either side is provided. The antenna structure is a short distance above a ground plane (e.g., less than 1/10 wavelength at the high frequency of operation). The arms are terminated to ground and the values of the terminations can vary depending on installation and the value chosen for the spiral termination. In some cases, the spiral antenna is not limited to a two arm spiral only as any type of spiral antenna may be used.

Abstract: A transceiver includes a radio frequency (RF) input, an RF channelized digital receiver, an RF wideband digital receiver, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC)/digital-to-analog converter (DAC), an RF channelized digital transmitter, and an RF output. The RF channelized digital receiver is configured to split an analog RF input signal into a plurality of sub-octave contiguous frequency band channels and to convert the channels to a plurality of first digital signals. The RF wideband receiver is configured to convert the analog RF input signal into a second digital signal. The ADC/DAC is configured to process each of the first and second digital signals to produce a plurality of third digital signals. The RF channelized digital transmitter is configured to convert each of the third digital signals into a plurality of analog output signals, to combine the analog output signals into an analog RF output signal, and to transmit the analog RF output signal.

Abstract: The system and method for an additively manufactured radome for a cavity backed notch comprising at least one lattice structure wherein the antenna works over any 4:1 bandwidth, from VHF to mmW. In some cases, the radome lattice has a density that changes with distance from the antenna. In some cases multiple antennas are used for direction finding. The radome may be additively manufactured from glass-loaded polymer or other materials having a low dielectric constant. In some cases, the radome has a dielectric contract that approaches that of air.

Abstract: The system and method for a conformal millimeter wave (mmW) cavity backed slot antenna with near positive gain and hemispherical gain coverage. The antenna has a microstrip launch and feed and a surface mount connector. The mmW antenna may have a stripline launch or waveguide launch instead of a microstrip launch. In some cases, the microwave electronics can be mounted on the launch substrate instead of a connector.

Abstract: A cone antenna has at least one resistor electrically coupled to the radiating structure of the cone antenna. The capacitor may be part of a resistor network that is electrically connected to the cone. One or more patches may be coupled to the resistor network which act as a capacitor. A feed card may be embedded within a ground plane to enable the exterior of an antenna assembly to be conformal with an outer surface of a platform carrying the cone antenna.
