摘要： A system for prevention of electrostatic discharge from a payment card to a point of sale (POS) device comprising an integrated circuit card (ICC) socket, includes a spring member comprising a first end electrically coupled to a second end. The first end is electrically coupled to an electrical ground, the first end is mechanically coupled to the POS device, and the second end is positioned for contact with a top edge of the payment card. When the payment card is inserted into the ICC socket and the top edge comes into contact with the second end, the first end and the second end form a first electrical path for electrostatic discharge between the payment card and the electrical ground.
