Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for manufacturing an optical waveguide and an optical waveguide, the method for manufacturing includes: providing a substrate; forming a first thin film layer, a second thin film layer and a sacrificial layer on the substrate in a stacked manner, a refractive index of the first thin film layer is larger than 2; exposing and developing the sacrificial layer so that the sacrificial layer forms a first mask layer; etching the second thin film layer by taking the first mask layer as mask so that the second thin film layer forms a second mask layer; removing the first mask layer, and etching the first thin film layer by taking the second mask layer as mask so that the first thin film layer forms a grating layer; and removing the second mask layer to form the optical waveguide comprising the grating layer and the substrate.

Abstract: Provided in the present disclosure are a two-dimensional grating, an optical waveguide, and an AR eyewear. The two-dimensional grating includes a plurality of sub-units, wherein the plurality of sub-units are arranged at intervals along a first direction, and the plurality of sub-units are arranged at intervals along a second direction, a set angle exists between the first direction and the second direction, and an angular bisector direction of the set angle coincides with a diffraction order direction required to be suppressed by the two-dimensional grating; projections of two adjacent sub-units in any one of the first direction and the second direction in a direction perpendicular to the diffraction order direction are connected to each other and not overlapped. In a display process of the optical waveguide, diffraction orders of the two-dimensional grating that need to be suppressed can be suppressed, so that appearing of central bright streaks in the optical waveguide display may be effectively suppressed, thereby display uniformity of the optical waveguide may be improved.

Abstract: The present invention provides a diffractive optical waveguide and a preparation method thereof, and an augmented reality display device. The diffractive optical waveguide includes: a total reflection layer, wherein the total reflection layer includes a first light propagation layer and a second light propagation layer, which are disposed in a stacked manner, a refractive index of the second light propagation layer is less than a refractive index of the first light propagation layer, and the second light propagation layer is deposited on one surface of the first light propagation layer via a deposition method; and a coupling-in grating and a coupling-out grating, wherein the coupling-in grating and the coupling-out grating are disposed at intervals on a side of the first light propagation layer that faces away from the second light propagation layer.
