Abstract: A filter assembly or fluid filter includes a housing and a filter media insert. The filter media insert may be located in a cavity of the housing. The filter may include closure or cap that can be coupled to the housing to close the cavity. The closure and the housing may collectively form a substantially closed volume within which the filter media insert can be removably secured.
