Abstract: A projection apparatus includes a projection unit configured to display an image based on an input signal by a display element, to form an optical image from light provided from a light source passed or reflected by the display element, and to project the formed optical image on a projection target, a photographing unit configured to photograph a region including an image range which is projected by the projection unit, an image recognition unit configured to recognize a person from the image obtained by the photographing at the photographing unit, and a projection control unit configured to change and set an aspect of the image projected by the projection unit based on a result of the recognition at the image recognition unit.
