    Abstract: In “normal” image capturing, a focal position of an imaging lens group with respect to a photographic subject irradiated with light by a light source is specified as an imaging focal position. In “green” image capturing, a focal position of the imaging lens group with respect to the subject irradiated with green light by a light source is identified. When the focal position for “green” image capturing is within a first range, this focal position is specified as an imaging focal position. When this focal position is not within the first range, an imaging focal position for “green” image capturing is specified based on the focal position for the “normal” image capturing, and the subject which is being irradiated with green light is photographed by an image sensor with the focus lens being set at the imaging focal position for “green” image capturing.

    Abstract: In the present invention, when a backlash control operation is being performed, the position of a zoom lens at the time of image capturing and the captured image are stored in association with each other. Subsequently, an image processing section trims the periphery of the captured image in accordance with the focal length of a target position (WIDE end) and the focal length of the position of the zoom lens associated with the captured image, and enlarges the trimmed image to a normal size (size for use in a live view or a size of the image before being trimmed).     Abstract: A CPU acquires a first focal position where a photographic subject is in focus by following a predetermined control rule, performs first control processing of controlling the motor such that the focus lens stops at the first focal position, and performs second control processing of controlling the motor such that the focus lens stops at a second focal position different from the first focal position. The second focal position is a focal position where a user does not recognize that the photographic subject is out of focus in an output from the imaging apparatus, and power consumption for stopping the focus lens is lower than power consumption for driving the motor so as to stop the focus lens at the first focal position.
