Abstract: A robot includes a body contactable with a placement surface, a head, at least one actuator, and at least one processor. The head is contactable with the placement surface, and is coupled to a front end of the body so as to be rotatable about a first rotational axis extending in a front-rear direction of the body and rotatable about a second rotational axis extending in a width direction of the body. The at least one actuator turns the head by causing the head to make a turn about the first rotational axis and a turn about the second rotational axis independently of each other. The at least one processor repeats a first turn control scheme and a second turn control scheme in sequence.

Abstract: The robot includes a storage unit and a control unit. The control unit acquires outside stimulus feature amounts that are feature amounts of an outside stimulus acting from outside, stores the acquired outside stimulus feature amounts in the storage unit as a history, compares outside stimulus feature amounts acquired at a certain timing with outside stimulus feature amounts stored in the storage unit to calculate a first similarity degree, and controls operations based on the calculated first similarity degree.

Abstract: A device control apparatus includes at least one processor executing a program stored in at least one memory. The at least one processor determines whether a predetermined condition related to a simulated growth degree of a device is satisfied, acquires external stimulus data representing an external stimulus externally applied to the device, changes and sets basic character data according to a first condition based on the acquired external stimulus data in a case where the predetermined condition is not satisfied, corrects the basic character data according to a second condition, different from the first condition and based on the acquired external stimulus data, to obtain character data in a case where the predetermined condition is satisfied, controls a movement of the device according to the basic character data in the case where the predetermined condition is not satisfied, and controls a movement of the device according to the character data obtained by the correction in the case where the predetermined condition is satisfied.
