    Abstract: Disclosed is an improved side mold cooling device for a cast wheel mold. The back cavity of a side mold is provided with one to three air holes, red copper is casted in the air holes, a groove body corresponding to a window is provided in the back cavity of the side mold, a main air pipe is annular and concentric with the outer diameter of a wheel, and two ends of the main air pipe are sealed by plug welding; an air pipe connector is welded on the outer side of the main air pipe, and the air pipe connector is connected with an external compressed air storage device; air claws are welded on the inner side of the main air pipe, correspond to hot spots of spokes and are as many as the air holes in the back cavity of the side mold.

    Abstract: A mold for reducing defects in low pressure casting of an aluminum alloy wheel includes a top mold, a side mold and a bottom mold, wherein the top mold is arranged above the bottom mold to mold a back cavity of a wheel, the bottom mold is arranged below the top mold to mold a front wheel disc of the wheel, the side mold is arranged on the side of the top mold and the bottom mold, and the top mold, the side mold and the bottom mold collectively surround a casting cavity of the aluminum alloy wheel, wherein the upper surface of the bottom mold includes a recessed portion configured to form a spoke and a boss portion configured to form a window and wherein the boss portion configured to form the window includes cooling ducts.

    Abstract: A wheel and a rim with weight reduction sockets are provided. The rim includes an inner flange, a middle portion and an outer flange, the inner flange, middle portion and outer flange are all annular and are connected end to end to form a cylindrical rim, in which the middle portion of the rim includes weight reduction sockets; and the weight reduction sockets are of regular hexagons, and are arranged adjacently on the outer side of the middle portion of the rim in the shape of a honeycomb. The weight of the hub is reduced by designing the weight reduction sockets in a specific shape for the outer rim of the hub and selecting the size of the weight reduction sockets.

V-shaped grooves are formed in the cavity surface of a side mold, a cavity is formed in the back cavity of the side mold, a cooling duct is arranged in the cavity of the side mold, and a main air pipe is perpendicular to an annular branch; the annular branch is concentric with a wheel casting, and air pipes are 5-10 mm away from the bottom surface of the cavity; the two ends of the annular branch are welded with plugs; air outlet holes are arranged on the annular branch, and the holes are perpendicular to the bottom surface of the cavity; the diameters of the air outlet holes are 3 mm, and the holes are uniformly distributed at intervals of 10-15 mm in the circumferential direction.

    Abstract: A central heat-insulation hole structure for an aluminum wheel low-pressure water-cooling casting mold. The structure includes a top mold and a central heat-insulation hole. A split unit structure including a top mold and central flange loose pieces is changed into a non-split integrated top mold. Besides, a circle of uniformly distributed heat-insulation holes are thrilled in a circumferential direction of the position of a mold split unit parting surface of the original top mold and the central flange loose pieces. The diameter of each heat-insulation hole is 8 mm, the size of a wheel flange defines the number of the heat-insulation holes and the diameter of circumference of the heat-insulation holes distributed in the integrated top mold, and in order to ensure the service life and water cooling and heat insulation effects of the mold, the depth of each heat-insulation hole from the surface of a cavity is more than 20 mm.
