Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a telecommunications connector. The connector includes at least one connector portion including a front housing portion coupled to a rear housing portion. The front housing portion defines a front end and a rear end, the front housing portion including a ferrule terminating a cable fixed to the at least one connector portion, the front housing portion further including a latch that is configured to contact a fiber optic adapter for locking the connector to the fiber optic adapter when the connector is inserted into the fiber optic adapter, wherein the latch is movable about a connection location on the front housing portion. The latch defines a permanently attached rear extension that extends rearward past the rear end of the front housing portion, the rear extension configured to be contacted for moving the latch for freeing the connector from the fiber optic adapter.

Abstract: A hybrid optical and electrical connection system includes a connectorized pigtail and a closure. The connectorized pigtail includes: a) a stub cable including a jacket containing at least one optical fiber and at least two electrical conductors, the stub cable having opposite first and second ends; and b) a hybrid optical and electrical connector that is factory terminated at the first end of the stub cable. The closure mounts at the second end of the stub cable for enclosing optical and electrical connections between the second end of the stub cable and a field cable.

MPO fiber adapters having a key up to key up arrangement, and a multi fiber trunk cable array is terminated at each end by an MPO fiber connector, wherein the multi fiber trunk cable array has a key up to key up arrangement, the multi fiber trunk cable array being connected to two of the MPO fiber adapters.

Abstract: A connector body includes a connector body (111) having a main body (10) and two sub bodies (12) that project from a first side of the main body (10). A latching mechanism (14) at the first side of the main body is positioned between the sub bodies. Electrical conductors (18a, 18b) are positioned in the sub bodies and have interface ends at a forward face of the main body. First and second ferrules (16a, 16b) are mounted at the main body. The first and second ferrule are spring biased in a forward direction perpendicular to the forward face of the main body. The first and second ferrules have interface ends accessible at the forward face. Optical fibers (19a, 19b) are supported by the first and second ferrules (16a, 16b).
