Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to ferrule-less fiber optic connectors, systems, and methods for enhancing the physical contact or connection interface between a first plurality of optical fibers and a second plurality of optical fibers after a cleaving process. The present disclosure is directed at ensuring proper alignment and performance of mated optical fibers by controlling the orientation of major flared sides relative to a connector keying feature.
