Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of making crystalline materials of *BEA framework type. The present disclosure also relates to crystalline materials of *BEA framework type obtainable by said method and uses thereof. The method of making includes using 1,1-(pentane-1,5-diyl)bis(1-propylpyrrolidinium) dication as a structure directing agent for forming the crystalline materials of *BEA framework type.
