    Abstract: Medical device reprocessing systems, such as endoscope reprocessing systems, can include a processing chamber configured to receive one or more medical devices to be cleaned and a spray arm assembly configured to rotate relative to processing chamber. The spray arm assembly can include a spray arm and a passive emitter. A non-contact receiver coupled to the processing chamber can detect the presence of the passive emitter, and a controller in communication with the non-contact receiver can detect when the passive emitter is positioned at the detectable position proximate the non-contact receiver and increment a count of detected rotations of the spray arm assembly each time the passive emitter is positioned at the detectable position proximate the non-contact receiver and compare the count to an expected count. If the count is lower than expected, the controller can output an alert or shut down the system.

    Abstract: A machine for treating a medical apparatus may include a treatment chamber having an enclosure and at least one opening configured to allow a medical apparatus to be loaded into or unloaded from the enclosure, a door configured to be moved according to a first direction between a closing position into which the opening is sealingly closed by the door and an opening position into which the door frees the opening, and an actuation system configured to be mechanically coupled to the door to move the door between the closing position and the opening position. In some examples, the actuation system is configured to disengage from the door when the door moves toward the closing position and a load applied to the door in opposition to the motion toward the closing position is equal or greater than a threshold value.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques for reprocessing a medical device equipped with an electromagnetic tag can include opening an access door of a reprocessing machine and passing the medical device through an entry-opening towards an inside of a washing chamber of the reprocessing machine. The systems and techniques can also involve energizing an electromagnetic tag carried by the medical device with an energizing power source of the reprocessing machine. As the medical device is passing through the entry-opening (EO) towards the inside of the washing chamber and in response to the energizing, the system can receive an identification electromagnetic signal transferred by the energized electromagnetic tag with a receiver the reprocessing machine. Information associated with the identification electromagnetic signal can be used to select and/or control washing parameters of the reprocessing machine.

In some examples, the tray has a coupling block configured to couple to a module of a cleaning machine while the tray is inserted into the machine. The coupling block can include through-holes configured to fluidly connect at least one medical apparatus lying in the tray to cleaning fluid ports of a cleaning machine. A blind groove and/or C-shaped jaws may be adapted to provide engagement between the coupling block and the cleaning machine.
