Abstract: Novel wax compositions are provided herein comprising at least about 85 wt. % of linear alpha olefins having a carbon number of at least 18, about 8 wt. % to about 40 wt. % of linear alpha olefins having a carbon number of 20, and about 5 wt. % to about 30 wt. % of linear alpha olefins having a carbon number of at least 30. The present wax compositions yield smooth, one-pour container candle waxes and provide ideal container candle burn performance demonstrated by low sooting behavior and a balanced wax consumption.
