Abstract: A flow surface comprises a composite material formed of a plurality of layers of the composite, and a piezoelectric actuator located within the layers or on an outer surface of the composite material. The piezoelectric actuator is actuatable to vibrate the composite material and one of inhibit ice build-up or shed ice which has formed.
