Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to methods and apparatuses for additive manufacturing using reduced amounts of powder-based built materials. Such methods and apparatuses mitigate several drawbacks of conventional power-based methods, including high powder overhead, increased costs, ergonomic strain on machine operators, health risks, and risk of short powder feeds.
