Abstract: A virtual bookshelf for displaying digital content items is generated. In operation, a virtual space that is to contain a virtual bookshelf is defined and the virtual bookshelf is generated based on dimensions of the virtual space. The virtual bookshelf is populated with digital content items. The virtual bookshelf and the digital content items are displayed using a display device.
