Abstract: A collection and draining system for use in a manufacturing process. This system comprises a collection tank coupled with a collector, the collector consisting of a funnel and a stem. The stem of the collector extends sufficiently into the collection tank such that the bottom of the stem is always covered with the solvent being collected during normal operations of the collection system. This is accomplished by locating the drain in the collection tank above the bottom of the stem. This results in reduced build up of solvents along the walls of the collection tank and the collector. In addition, by allowing the drain of the collection tank to drain into a main drain system, removal of the collection tank from a machine it is attached to during operation of the machine is unnecessary. Removal is only necessary during cleaning of the collection tank or the collector.

Abstract: An elevator overspeed system designed to work as a governor includes a first switch responsive to an overspeed condition and a second, remotely located switch responsive to said first switch. An overspeed elevator control procedure is initiated when one of the first or second switches are tripped. The first switch is automatically re-set after the second switch is tripped. The second switch is manually re-set to re-start the elevator system in normal operation mode.

Abstract: A sprinkler head has an inlet to receive a fluid from a pipeline, and a nozzle to spray the received fluid. In one embodiment, a body that couples the inlet to the nozzle includes an electromechanical fluid flow control device via which to vary an amount of fluid pressure presented to the nozzle. In another embodiment, the nozzle includes an electromechanical aperture via which to vary a flow of the received fluid. An electromechanical wheel coupled to the nozzle rotates the nozzle in a direction.

Abstract: A roller guide for improving the movement of an elevator car on T-shaped guide rails. The roller has first and second wheels rotatably mounted on an elevator car and spring biased to rollably engage the sides of the nose portion of a T-shaped guide rail. A bumper is secured between the wheels to slidably engage the edge of the nose portion of the T-shaped guide rail and minimize lateral sway of the elevator car as it travels. The bumper also allows for the inventive roller guide to be used to replace the sliding guides of certain types of elevators without exceeding the maximum throat clearance. The roller guide, when installed, is dimensioned to meet the required safety tolerances of the elevator and allow for safe operation of the elevator safeties.
