Abstract: The present invention discloses a method, a gateway, and a system for sharing a media file, and belongs to the network field. The method includes: searching a shared folder in a local area network according to an IP address of a terminal in the local area network; mounting the searched shared folder to a locally preset folder; and analyzing the shared folder that is mounted to the locally preset folder, and broadcasting an analysis result to all terminals in the local area network. The gateway includes a searching module, a mounting module, and a broadcasting module.
