    Abstract: An electronic gaming system is capable of providing players with customized subsets of side bets. The system can provide, by the user interface, the player with a player-selectable set of side bets; receive, from the player through the user interface, a selection of a subset of the player-selectable set of side bets for the player to use in a gaming session, with a number of side bets in the subset selected by the player being less than a number of side bets in the player-selectable set of side bets; initiate the gaming session comprising a side bet placed on an enabled side bet; determine an outcome of the gaming session relative to the enabled side bet; and adjust a value of an electronic record associated with an account of the player to reflect the outcome of the gaming session.
