Abstract: In order to avoid a phenomenon that a liquid crystal display panel peeling off from a mold caused by expansion of the air inside the mold when attaching a touch panel to the liquid crystal display panel in a decompressed atmosphere, there is provided a liquid crystal display device in which a liquid crystal display panel is attached to a mold accommodating a backlight by a light shielding tape and a touch panel is attached to the liquid crystal display panel, wherein the light shielding tape includes adhesives on the both sides of a black base, and the light shielding tape has a portion without the adhesive on one side of the tape for a predetermined length of the light shielding tape in a circumferential direction.
