Abstract: A driving method of an intelligent reflecting surface having a plurality of reflecting elements arranged in a matrix, the method includes dividing the plurality of reflecting elements arranged in the matrix into a first region that controls an amount of phase change for each row of the plurality of reflecting elements arrayed in a row direction and a second region that controls an amount of phase change for every two adjacent rows of a plurality of reflecting elements arrayed in the row direction, and driving each of the plurality of reflecting elements belonging to the first region
