摘要： Provided is a transmission apparatus and method for a terrestrial digital TV (DTV) broadcast and additional data using a multi-antenna. To transmit additional data inserted in a base band of a terrestrial DTV broadcast signal using a plurality of transmission antennas, the additional data signal may be temporal and spatial encoded or may be temporal and spatial multiplexed, and may be combined with a base band DTV broadcast signal before modulation and thus, a transmission efficiency of the additional data may increase without affecting a performance of an existing terrestrial DTV broadcast receiver.

摘要： Provided is a terrestrial digital broadcasting transmitter. The terrestrial digital broadcasting transmitter may include a Reed-Solomon (RS) encoder to RS-encode an inputted broadcast signal, a forward error correction (FEC) encoder to channel-encode an inputted additional signal associated with the broadcast signal, a selector to select the RS-encoded broadcast signal or the channel-encoded additional signal, and a vestigial side band (VSB) transmitting part to transmit, to a receiver via a transmitting antenna, the selected signal, the selected signal being the RS-encoded broadcast signal or the channel-encoded additional signal selected by the selector.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving data generate main service data of broadcasting data, generate additional data of the broadcasting data, transform the additional data into a parallel type, generate pseudo-random noise sequences as a spreading code of the additional data, select polarities of the pseudo-random noise sequences using any one additional data bits in the additional data in the transformed parallel type, map the remaining additional data bits excluding the one additional data bit from the additional data in the transformed parallel type to a single sequence, multiply a single sequence to which the remaining additional data bits are mapped by pseudo-noise sequences of which the polarities are selected, control mean power of the additional data multiplied by the sequences, couple the additional data of which the mean power is controlled with the main service data, and then, transmit the broadcasting data.
