    摘要: An illumination device and an observation system capable of outputting light having a continuous spectrum and high color rendering properties are provided. Employed is an illumination device including a first light source that emits first-wavelength-band light having a first wavelength band of violet color; a second light source that emits second-wavelength-band light having a second wavelength band that is broader than the first wavelength band and having a continuous spectrum; a light combining section that is composed of a dicroic mirror and that combines the first-wavelength-band light and the second-wavelength-band light; and a combination-ratio adjusting section that adjusts the combination ratio of the first-wavelength-band light and the second-wavelength-band light to be combined by the light combining section.

    摘要: An optical element of the present invention includes: a primary surface-1 whereon diffuse illuminating light radiated by a light source device is incident; a primary surface-2 formed in a concave cross-sectional shape when viewed from the primary surface-1, which reflects only illuminating light incident from the primary surface-1; a primary surface-3 formed in a convex cross-sectional shape when viewed from the primary surface-1, which reflects only diffuse illuminating light radiated by the light source device; and a primary surface-4 which radiates illuminating light incident from the primary surface-1 and illuminating light reflected by the primary surface-2. The primary surfaces-1 through -4 are located at positions such that the light beams reflected by the primary surface-2 and the light beams reflected by the primary surface-3 are substantially parallel.

    摘要: When guiding diffused light to an optical member that has optical surfaces parallel to the optical axis, illumination unevenness is efficiently uniformized at the light emitting surface without an overall increase in length. There is provided a light guiding member, wherein a plurality of tapered rod sections which abut along a central axis direction passing substantially through the centers of an incident end disposed on a light source side and an emitting end disposed on an optical member side are provided between the incident end and the emitting end, and each tapered rod section is shaped to widen gradually from the incident end side towards the emitting end side at a constant taper angle, and a taper angle of each tapered rod section is set smaller than a taper angle of the adjacent tapered rod section on the incident end side.

    摘要: An object is to provide a light source device that can readily synchronize the lighting cycle of light sources and the rotation cycle of a light guide rod. Provided is a light source device (10) that includes LEDs (11) arranged in the form of a ring and each configured to emit illumination light; a light guide member (15) that optically guides the illumination light, emitted from each LED (11), along a central axis of the ring; a rotary motor that rotationally drives the light guide member (15) about the central axis; a reflective photo-sensor that detects rotation of the rotary motor; a CCD (5) that detects an amount of the illumination light optically guided by the light guide member (15); and a control section (6) that controls these sections and adjusts a phase difference between a lighting signal, which is used for performing lighting control of the LEDs (11), and a rotation detection signal, which is detected by the reflective photo-sensor, on the basis of the amount of light detected by the CCD (5).
