    Abstract: An image forming apparatus including a hardware processor and an image former that forms a measurement pattern on a recording medium under control of the hardware processor, wherein the hardware processor acquires image data obtained by reading a recording medium surface on which the measurement pattern is formed, calculates gradation characteristics at positions of correction points arranged along a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the recording medium on a basis of the acquired image data, and corrects density unevenness of the measurement pattern in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction by correction values at the positions of the correction points calculated on the basis of the gradation characteristics, and the measurement pattern includes a first image having a maximum gradation value, second images that are adjacent to the first image on an upstream side in the conveyance direction and whose gradation values change stepwise and in ascending order in the conveyance direction, and third images that are adjacent to the first image on a downstream side in the conveyance direction and whose gradation values change stepwise and in descending order in the conveyance direction.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an image inspection device including: a hardware processor. The hardware processor performs: setting a first alignment region including a first feature point of a reference image; setting a second alignment region including a second feature point of an inspection image that is to be inspected, the image data being obtained by reading the inspection image on a recording medium with; transforming at least one of the reference image data and the inspection image data so as to reduce displacement between the first and second feature points; and comparing the reference image data and the inspection image data, wherein setting the first alignment region includes setting the first alignment region in the reference image excluding a specified first exclusion area, and wherein setting the second alignment region includes setting the second alignment region in the inspection image excluding a second exclusion area corresponding to the first exclusion area.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus 1 obtains displacement amounts of patterns formed on front and back sides of a recording sheet respectively, and performs correction of an image formation position based on the displacement amounts. The image processing apparatus 1 calculates the lengths of the sides of each of the front and back sides of a recording sheet by detecting the intersection points of the surrounding edges of the recording sheet with reference to the image data of the each of the front and back sides. A magnification error is calculated based on the lengths of the sides corresponding between the front and back sides. A correction amount is then calculated based on the calculated magnification error in order to make the lengths of each side match each other. Displacement amounts of the positions of the patterns is obtained after correction based on the correction amount.
