Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preventing, improving and/or treating cornea damage or a corneal disease, including administering an effective amount of an extract of a persimmon tree for preventing, improving or treating cornea damage to a subject in need thereof. The extract may be a persimmon leaf extract and the extract is effective in suppressing inflammation of the cornea and protecting corneal cells.
