Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for upgrading a home appliance and a device for implementing same. The method for upgrading a home appliance according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: transmitting, by a management server, software to a home appliance; downloading, by the home appliance, the software from the management server; transmitting, by the management server, an output instruction message indicating an output of an installation notification of the software to the home appliance; and outputting, by the home appliance, the installation notification.
