摘要: A printing device prints an object on a medium by inkjet printing. The printing device includes: a solid print nozzle discharging solid-color printing ink; a color printing nozzle discharging color printing ink; and a main scan driver prompting the nozzles to perform main scans in which the nozzles discharge the ink droplets while moving in a main scanning direction previously set, wherein with a density of ink dots formed on the medium by one nozzle in a preset number of the main scans being defined as a main scan dot density, the main scan driver prompting the solid print nozzle to form ink dots at a first main scan dot density, the main scan driver further prompting the color printing nozzle to form ink dots at a second main scan dot density lower than the first main scan dot density.

摘要: A printed material having excellent smoothness is provided even when a resin ink is used. An ink jet printing method uses an ink jet printing apparatus 1 including a head 5, and a printing platen 2 for heating a medium 100 from a back side of a surface of the medium 100, wherein the ink contains a solvent, a colorant and a resin, in which the resin is emulsionized or suspended. The ink jet printing method includes a drying step in which the ink is dried by the printing platen 2 after the ink is landed onto the medium 100.

摘要: A printing device prints an object on a medium by inkjet printing. The printing device includes: a glossy ink head that discharges ink droplets of a glossy ink having a glossy color; and a main scan driver that prompts the glossy ink head to perform main scans in which the glossy ink head discharges the ink droplets while moving in a predetermined main scanning direction. The glossy ink contains a glossy pigment. In the main scans, the glossy ink head discharges the ink droplets plural times while moving in the main scanning direction to form ink dots at positions on the medium aligned in the main scanning direction. The ink droplets discharged from the glossy ink head each have a volume constituting a size that allows for contact on the medium between any ones of dots formed in each one of the main scans.

摘要: A printing apparatus is provided that effectively prevents the risk of ink bleeding so as to obtain a high-quality print result. The printing apparatus includes an inkjet head that ejects droplets of ink using inkjet technique so as to adhere the ink to the medium, and an ultraviolet light source that radiates ultraviolet light. The ink contains a colorant, an ultraviolet absorbent, a resin, and an aqueous solvent that emulsifies or suspends the resin. The ultraviolet light source irradiates the ink adhered to the medium with ultraviolet light to heat the ink to a temperature lower than a boiling point of the ink and high enough to prevent the ink from bleeding, so that the aqueous solvent is at least in part volatilized and removed from the ink.
