    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a beamforming solution for MIMO communication. The method implemented at a first device comprises: obtaining: a signature vector corresponding to a beam which is in a first direction from the first device to a second device, and a first channel covariance matrix associated with a transmission from the first device to the second device. The method further comprises generating, based on the signature vector and the first channel covariance matrix, a beamforming matrix to be used for the transmission from the first device to the second device. In this way, the accuracy of the beamforming matrix is improved and the calculation amount for the beamforming matrix is reduced.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to compressed channel state information transfer. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the radio unit at the base station receives signals from the terminal device. The radio unit (RU) compresses the signal based on the weights of beams and transmits the compressed signal to the baseband unit (BBU) at the base station. The baseband unit reconstructs the channel based on the compressed signal and the coefficients. In this way, the amount of information conveyed across the RU-BBU interface is reduced, and the accuracy of channel estimation is improved. Further, the sounding reference signal (SRS) channel can be obtained at the BBU with reduced number of SRS transmissions.

    Abstract: A method of channel estimation for a receiver side antenna array includes receiving a first signal associated with a pilot tone transmitted by a transmitter side antenna array, obtaining a first group of neural network models trained for channel estimation based on the pilot tone, inputting a representation of the received first signal into each neural network model of the first group, performing one-dimensional interpolation for second signals associated with data tones in at least one of time domain and frequency domain, obtaining a second group of neural network models trained for channel estimation in presence of interpolation errors based on the data tones, and for each one-dimensional interpolation, inputting an interpolated channel estimate of the generated interpolated channel estimates into each neural network model of the second group and generating a corrected interpolated channel estimate for a second signal.

    Abstract: According to embodiments of the present disclosure, downlink beamforming in MU-MIMO systems is proposed. Embodiments of the present disclosure take practical receivers into consideration, to further mitigate the interferences sensed by terminal devices. The beamforming scheme according to embodiments of the present disclosure has many advantages. For example, embodiments of the present disclosure tackle interferences from terminal device view, to mitigate the interferences which really affect the received signals of terminal devices. Embodiments of the present disclosure do not assume that terminal devices utilize Eigen receivers but consider more practical receivers used by the terminal devices to mitigate the interferences. Embodiments of the present disclosure have high flexibility, different interference cancelling methods can be used to replace the ZF method.
